Christmas at Orchard

I had to make a trip downtown as I have a collection waiting for me, but knowing that I can't withstand crowds, I went on a weekday. My friend happened to have some vouchers to collect thus we made a date and leisurely drove to Orchard Road.

Arrival in the late afternoon

That's ION Orchard across the road, the Christmas tree was gigantic but was not lit up at that hour. We were just happy that there was not much traffic & could easily find a parking place.

Guess what we spotted

A Camaro, the imported beauty attracted quite some attention & my friend went ga-ga over it. Thus I took some photos of all angles to share it with you!

Left-hand drive!

We then went on shopping in along the shopping belt. Christmas carols were playing everywhere with pretty decor to go with. Everyone was busy shopping for a gift for their special someone and suddenly, I felt a little "left out". I was suppose to be as happy as them, but given no choice I just sold off a Jack Spade bag which I ordered a couple of months ago, as the recepient of the gift is no longer by my side. I was lucky to be able to sell it considerably quick as it was a limited addition one, phew.

Time just flew passed & we realised the evening's approaching, so we ventured out to check out the Christmas lightings.

ION Orchard

Chandelier decor, I love!

The Christmas tree's lighted up! Notice at the bottom right corner of the tree, that's a doorway to step into the "tree"

Inside the Christmas tree. It was a "kaleidoscope" experience

The stretch of Orchard Road brightly lit

We strolled a little before I tilted my head & told my friend I'm feeling alittle tired & was sent home without delay. Maybe we were both tired, but this year's Christmas is one that I could not help, felt no hype for. I hope next year's will be a much better one, I'm sure it will be!
