Somewhere Over The Rainbow!

Feeling breathless in the office? Your eyes' watery for straining at the monitor? Back's aching after being stuck at the same posture for hours? What the best remedy? I found mine right outside my office window...

Can you see that bit of rainbow amongst the gloom

Then the skies cleared up a teeny bit and the sight took my breath away

It's a huge rainbow! It's a pity that I could not capture the whole beautiful
arch, but it still manged to keep me standing there admiring in silence for a good ten minutes.

Nothing is forever, it evaporated into thin air quickly as the gloom came back.
Although the sublime scenery was short as can be, it left me evidently chirpy humming;

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true...

I believe there's always a rainbow deep in every kind soul's heart. Until the next time, take great care!

A Little Fire Last Night

I met up with a extremely long time ex-boyfriend of mine last night around my neighbourhood as he was around my area for a run. We were once intimately close about 8 years ago however went separate ways shortly, the very last time we met was about 4 years ago. When he call me up, I was making all kinds of speculations in my head, thinking why the sudden meet up.

We went straight to quiet dinner near my place as he was starving after his run, we sat down and started to catch up with what happened since we last met up. I'll like to get straight to the point here, he told me he's getting married next month with a lady he's with for the past 2 years. I was sincerely happy to hear this news. He finally found someone who can captivate his heart, that he is willing to settle down with for the rest of his life. This was something I never believe he is capable of doing from the person I knew he was. Overall, I just felt very relief for him.

After dinner, he suggested to take a walk around to reminisce our old times, the playground that we will always sit after he sent me home, before I head back. I took it as a harmless suggestion. Thus we sat down at the playground and bit by bit I realise something's not right. First of all, he asked for a hug (which is normal since that was our normal practice even after we broke up), I gave him a big friendly hug with my very best wishes to a happy marriage. The next second, he slided his hands down my back and rested on my precious butt (and a little squeeze for a grand finale). I pulled back and asked with genuine concern if "everything" is all right. He assured me that he is happy with who he is marrying. Alright...

He sat closer and closer to me, eventually had his arms around me, told me I lost weight. Alright...

Then he started to caress my leg. Alright! That's it!

"Some things never change." I looked away at the moonlit sky and told him that he should prepare himself to accept the fact that he is getting married, that he should not carry on living life as if he's still single. I was thinking in my little morbid mind "If required, I will gladly bash the fact into that thick skull of yours with my sharpest stilettos heel"...

He then told he his view of marriage. Seems like he thinks it's ok as long a you know who you really love in your heart, it is completely all right to play with "fire" once in a while to "spice" things up. Most importantly, his soon-to-be-wife should never find out. It's just no-strings-attached, harmless fun.

I don't understand how can he still make the same mistake over and over again when I saw he fell from grace once before, after he found out that the girl he loved left him for another guy. He was devastated, so the more he should know how it feels to be betrayed. I told him to think over seriously why does he want to get married and that if he's looking for "fire"... yes, I'm definitely of "fire" caliber, but I'm not interested to complicate my life. I was just disappointed with his choice.

We continued to chatted for a short while and wrapped up the session. I saw him off, he said I should call him when I'm free or at least before I get married so he can personally give me a "memorable private hen's night" (actually, he phrased the above using direct, crude words but I was too "Zen" to react). Sigh...

I told him maybe he should consider making that his profession since he is still attractive and I quickly followed up telling him I have a few friends getting married soon, in their early 40s, looking for such services. He frowned and before he could retaliate, I told him it's all about professionalism... I was hoping he could get my sarcasm but he obviously failed badly.

He left. I shook my head. Whoever is the wife of his, I feel worried and sad for you. Please be strong if he really let you down, which I think he will at the rate he's going, unless some miracle happens on your wedding night I'm just super glad that I'm out of the disastrous picture since 8 years ago.

Homecoming For Mr Fury

I did not manage to write an entry last night as I reach home a little too late and was completely exhausted, but here's my entry for today!

I brought my Office Guardian home today. Let me introduce him to you, his name is Mr Fury. He's job is to safeguard me from all evil and misfortune and I must say he did a good job as long as I'm in the office.

However when I showed him to Jade Jade, she immediately developed a disliking for him. Maybe it's due to his "not-so-cute" appearance. She started to avoid coming in contact with him and even made detours in order not to come face to face with Mr Fury. Poor Mr Fury, he's actually a very kind soul. Well, maybe she just need more time to accept having him around.

Mr Fury said: "Gimme a hug! Don't worry, I will not scorch you..."

Who's Rody?

My friend & I were just preparing to chill out along an isolated stretch of road when we felt droplets on our faces. We ran, laughing like kids, back to the car for shelter from the sudden downpour.
Since we were stuck in the car, I started to "explore" the inside of the vehicle & found this little figurine standing right in front of me. It looks like Hello Kitty had painfully skinned someone & wore the hide as some kind of jumpsuit with a hood, if I'm not wrong the skinned victim's call Rody. Who's poor Rody?

Meet Hello Kitty with Rody's skin

I was so curious about this that I was asking people around if they know who Rody is, everyone looked supper clueless. Then I found out more about Rody.

Meet the real Rody! I want one so that I can ride it day & night!

Is It A Sign?

I just came home after dinner around my neighbourhood and have to submit this entry tonight. I saw Mr Pang for the first time, more than 4 years after we broke up.

He has put on quite some weight that I could not really be sure it was him until I saw his friend (whom I recognise) sitting at the same table. He did not manage to quit smoking. Most important of all, his hair line receded further.

How did I react? I turned back and continued with my meal, smiling. Some how, I knew I did better without him.

Do Not Disturb, I'm On Duty

Hi people! I'm just back from quite some serious hauling & is currently winding down before taking my shower. Thus I decided to load this entry before the end of the day. Just something interesting.

I was on my way out early this morning when I happened to look back (stalker-check) at the makeshift shed just right in front of my block. It was built for the purpose of storing the nick-knacks and equipment that is used for the upgrading work that is currently ongoing on around my neighbourhood.

There he stood alone, right there at the door of the shed. His was standing so straight that you can feel how seriously he takes his mission to guard the shed, offenders will shake in fear and give up any idea of breaking in. He stared straight ahead in pure unwavering determination. Who know's, maybe the crucial key to the survival of Mankind is hidden in there... Man, his sooo~ cool. Man focusing hard at work = HOT.

Do you see him? He's right there...

As I've described

Which side are you from...

Optimus Prime or Megatron?

The Beauty of Walking Meditation

I just came across this interesting meditation technique & somehow got strangely engaged...

"Every step that we take is a step that is happening now.

This step is not the same as the one before it (the past),

and neither is it the same as the one we are going to take (the future).

Although we can retrace our steps,

no two steps are ever the same.

The past has passed.

It is the step that you are taking now that really matters"
