Beef Kimchi Kaminabe = Awesome Year End Meal!

It was a cold rainy day, my friend arranged to pick me up for dinner at Ding Tai Fung. However we change our mind & went to the closest mall for a quick dinner instead because it was already after 8 pm.

We settled down at Sake Sushi and ordered our meal without much delay. I was feeling chilly ever since last month and decided to pamper myself with a warm treat. I ordered Kimchi Kaminabe (キムチ紙鍋, Kami- Paper and Nabe- Hotpot) with beef at SGD 13.99. "Kaminabe" sounds like a certain vulgarity phrase in one of Singapore's dialect, I'll always have this cheeky smile when I make my order for this dish.

The soup was brimming with ingredients, served in the "paper pot", came sitting on the burner stand.

Fresh Beef, Kimchi, Carrot, Enoki, Shiitake, Leek, Tofu, Kamaboko , Harusame all in the flavourful spicy soup.

I waited patiently for the soup to boil, the beef was easily cooked as they were thinly sliced. It did not take too long for the broth to start simmer gently. Yeah!

After the beef was cooked, the soup was more savory then ever.

My friend who don't consume beef was so tempted by the soup and went scooping a few, quite many a few, scoops and went "ahhh". We took our time slowly relishing every sip of the soup on that chilly night, it was a pleasure. It warmed up my body nicely, I felt so contented. We went for a short drive and a long chat before I was sent home. Still warm and smiling, I fell into sweet slumber. What a wonderous meal!
