We were suppose to meet at Somerset 313 for dinner but I was unwell, feeling cold through the day. Thus I "toughened" my skin and asked if they can travel to my estate instead. Little did I expect that they agreed instantly. As a gesture of appreciation, I googled for nice vegetarian restaurants around my area & found no restaurant but a new vegetarian store of a food court in KTPH (Khoo Teck Puat Hospital). It's called Loving Hut and is is just one of it's branches in Singapore. I'm actually quite a carnivorous person, but I'm okie to go "meatless" once in awhile, for the sake of Mr Xiao, who's a "food-vegan".

The otah's full of the fragrance of lemon grass but I can't adapt to the texture of this vegetarian otah. It does not have the "bite" of the real otah, but that's me being picky.
The gravy's nice & light, great for hot days. I personally prefer my laksa with "thicker" gravy (that means more coconut milk). Do you see the mock prawns? So cute.
I tend to go for well-seasoned, flavorful food, thus I ordered the above set & was not disappointed with my choice (how I wish I can have the same talent when it comes to making life changing choices). The "Rendang" is actually shredded bits of the stalks from mushroom, which is a nice replica of the "meat-fiber bite" when you chew on tender meat. It's not too spicy, & has a peanut-y taste. Yummy! They served unpolished rice with a cabbage dish by the side, completed with a soup. Oh, the cabbage was so tasty that I had to offer Mr Glowy & Mr Xiao some to sample & they agreed. Hmmm, did the cabbage steal the spotlight from the rendang..
Mr Xiao finished his noodles quite quickly, so I assume it should be quite nice or he was just starving. We actually wanted to find a place for a quick drink before heading home so we crossed the street to the Safra Club only to find the pub there closed. After some discussing, we proceed to Party World (Karaoke) which is also in the club to sing our hearts out for the night.
Apparently, we were the only customers around when we stepped in.
I think I've been "out-of-the-scene" for too long, I did not even know they have foot massage gadgets in KTV rooms now. Cool... We sang non-stop for 4 hours. Although we are (ahem) not the best of singers, but we had so much fun. The night ended with our vocals thoroughly stretched. We hopped on a cab & went homeward. Thank you guys, for here's another night I fell asleep smiling.
The above is one of the songs for the night. The line states "then you told me that you are leaving me, all for my own good". If someone told me that, I will not be able to believe/accept it gracefully (just like how hard it is to know you're dying when you're living happily) as I personally feel that it's just a easy-way-out excuse to end a relationship. However, let's assume it's true... then this line happens to make me hot & cold at the same time. Hot for your selfless sacrifice made for really loving someone (but how many people out there are mature enough to be able to do this). Cold for being so cruel to break one's heart, the same heart that skipped a beat when you kiss her lips for the first time.
Sad, but that's just Life.
